These designs were made using Adobe Photoshop during the first semester as my assignments :)
1) Fantasy Poster:
I was instructed to create a fantasy poster with myself in it.
I added a gradient effect on the top as a rainbow with a vampire on top to make it look intimidating.
The word "Welcome" with a --- in between was to deliver the message of "you're welcome to enter, but proceed with caution."
Next, I duplicated myself. The left and right me were edited by using filters. Although it's not visible. but I've actually changed all of my hair colour and made my eyes red for the middle me.
2) Toy Store Mood Board:
In this assignment, I was required to create a mood board for a toy store called 'Toys and Such'.
The reason why I chose pastel colours was to make it seem soft and approachable. Plus I was really into pastel colours when I was doing this assignment lol.
Initially my mood board was similar to the ones you find on Pinterest, but my lecturer told me to align it and make it neat. So, I changed it to this.
The main colours in this board are pink and blue because they've been associated with boys and girls for a VERY long time. Hence, to make them seem appealing to parents.
3) Toy Store Website:
This is my final assignment of the semester.
I was assigned to design a website for 'Toys and Such'.
Since it was connected to the mood board, I continued using pastel colours. For the main page, I used blue because I wanted it to be comfortable for users and giving it a cool and calm atmosphere for the users.
As for the logo and catchphrase, I wanted the children to feel loved. That's why I added hearts and came up with the catchphrase "Such fun and love." I added the bears beside the logo because I think that it's a unisex toy and rainbows to describe a kid's bright energy.
These were all of my previous assignments for visual communication by using photoshop, and I hope that you liked my designs :)
